I would like to give a big thank you to Felicia and Carl for putting on the Spring Fling
and to Mark Bodycott of USA Koi for bringing so many great fish to the event. The event has
grown each year and this year had to be the largest that I can recall. This year we were able to
gain five new members because of it.

Our May meeting will be hosted by Gary Chesson and will include a presentation by Gary’s
Pond builder who will take us through its evolution to its present state. Remember, bring
chairs, a dish to share and beverages. See our events page for more information.

As many of you know, I am somewhat of an equipment junkie when it comes to our pond.
While attending the Orlando Koi Show early this year, I became interested in a combination
ultraviolet sterilizer/ozone generator. You guessed it, I brought it home. Theoretically it uses
high dose uv lamps along with the ozone that it generates to oxidize and eliminate bacteria
and pheromones. I will be installing it in the filter system soon and will let you know how it
does.

On another note, the club now has coffee mugs for sale. They are white with the new club
logo in color on them. $5.00 ea. for members; $10.00 ea. for non-members.
