The Charlotte Koi Club supports Koi Netters,
a local koi rescue group that ensures that unwanted koi are saved and good, new homes are found for them.
Koi Netters
Koi Netters rescue koi in the Charlotte region,
including Mecklenburg, Union, Gaston, and Cabarrus Counties, as well as York and Lancaster Counties in South Carolina.
Sometimes people find that they have too many fish. Sometimes a household move means leaving a pond and the koi swimming in it behind. Sometimes, aging or other factors means that a pond can no longer be cared for as it once was.
From overstocked ponds, to change of ownership issues, to other factors that create the need to find new homes for fish, Koi Netters is a not-for-profit operation established to rescue koi and find new homes for them.
What We Do
- We come to your home, safely catch, and then transport your koi to carefully maintained holding tanks.
- Once a quarantine period has passed to ensure that fish are healthy, homes are found for them with koi enthusiasts in the area.
Koi Netters is run entirely with volunteers. There is no charge for our services, but we gratefully accept donations.
