Happy New Year! It seems like just yesterday that we were welcoming in 2022. Well, I suppose it is like the saying: the older we get the faster time seems.
I hope that the recent cold snap didn’t cause too much damage to anyone’s pond. Our temperature dropped to 44 degrees in both the pond and the Q tanks in our shed. But, other than that, we were lucky, no frozen pipes or other issues.
With the holidays behind us, it is time to think about any modifications/changes/improvements we might
want to make to our ponds and filter systems. Winter is a great time to plan your projects and to start to
acquire the necessary parts and equipment necessary. Because it is a slow time for vendors, it may be possible to strike some great deals.
We will not be holding a meeting in January but will resume in February at a restaurant yet to be determined.
By the time March rolls around, some of us may want to plan a little weekend escape to warmer climes. The Central Florida Koi and Goldfish Show (AKA the Orlando Koi Show) takes place on March 11, 12, 13 this year. Keep it in mind. We thoroughly enjoyed it last year.
Happy New year, See you all in February
